Jackson's Oak, Daphne, Alabama

Legend has it that Andrew Jackson paused under this Daphne, Alabama, oak tree in 1814 to address his troops as they made their way to Pensacola, Florida, to take on Spanish troops. This photograph was taken around 1905.
