Eugene B. Sledge and two buddies
This picture of Eugene B. Sledge and two of his friends was taken in Peiping (Beijing), China in 1945. Sledge is the man on the right. Sledge was stationed in China at the end of World War II after the fighting on Okinawa, before being sent back to the United States.
