Jay de l'Eau and Eugene B. Sledge
This picture shows Jay de l'Eau (left) and Eugene B. Sledge (right). It was taken sometime during World War II. Sledge was a Marine who fought with Company K-3-5 in the Pacific in World War II. He wrote a book about his combat experiences called With The Old Breed at Peleliu and Okinawa.
