Eugene B. Sledge and George Sarrett
This picture of Eugene B. Sledge (left) and his buddy George Sarrett (right) was taken in August 1945 after the battle of Okinawa in World War II. It was taken in the Company K-3-5, 1st Marine Division tent camp in North Okinawa. Both men fought with K-3-5 in the battle.
