Letters written between John Floyd Gwyn and his wife, Placidia, during the Civil War.
The Gwyns were residents of Clarke County, Alabama. During the Civil War, John served in Company D of the 32nd Alabama Infantry regiment, C.S.A. He died of pneumonia at a hospital in Tullahoma, Tennessee, on November 10, 1862.
