In October of that year Turner founded the short-lived Muscle Shoals Aircraft Corporation, of which he was vice-president and general manager. In April of 1925 Turner christened three new planes, named the Florence, the Sheffield, and the Tuscumbia and that month also started a short-lived flight school at Gusmus Field in Sheffield.
