Description
Summary:Box 8 Folder 42: "We’re up to 42. Folder 42 is a letter from Linda Stubbs, dated January 26, 1986. Does not include any kind of indication as to who she is but she wrote a letter very upset with Jimmy Lawson. Although her letter does not identify Lawson, the incident was recalled by colleague Gary Richardson. Jimmy had basically said that if Compass Bank had honored Dr. King’s birthday and close down shop, they wouldn't have been robbed. Anyway, it was a letter critiquing his statement. This at a time when Earl Hilliard was the owner and GM of WJLD. I don’t know if there was anything done about it. From WJLD files."
