Jazz clarinetist Gerald Yelverton, standing fourth from left in front of bus, played with the Glenn Miller Band after graduation in 1938. Others were from left, same row, Joe Mitchell, Herc Barnard, Julian Van Hodges, and Toby Griffith; on bus, Robin Russell, Chick Hatcher, Hilding Holmberg, Ed Wadsworth, Frank Speight, John Ivey, and Mike Ellis.
