From page 397: Auburn's tense 19-15 loss to LSU was upstaged by a barnburning across the street from Jordan-Hare Stadium on September 21, 1996. As one sportswriter put it, the 85,214 in attendance represented "the largest number of people to ever watch a fire in the state of Alabama." ...
