King in memory of her great uncle, William Rufus King, who, over a period of thirty-three years, held the positions of U.S. Senator from Alabama, Minister to France and Vice President of the United States. He was born in 1786 and died in 1853. Only a few of the cabinets can be seen in this picture. |
