Lance-leaf Toadshade
The leaves are sessile and lanceolate, on a tall stem that is 2 or 3 times as long as the leaves. These leaves are distinctly patterned. It grows in alluvial soil on flood plains,in widely scattered localities. The berry-like capsule is prominently winged.
