We have 53 men, and Monday next, the 22nd inst., will complete the company at Somerville and immediately thereafter will organize by the election of officers. We lend our services to you and through you to the Confederate Government and desire to be received into immediate services in the Volunteer Corps. Write full needs as to requirements about uniforms and whether we are expected to prepare our own tents or will the government furnish them, or rather can do it now. Please respond promptly and oblige. Yours respectufully, John D, Rather"
