He later worked as a bookkeeper in Kirkwood, Ga. and Atlanta, Ga. and died in 1949. McMillian graduated in 1895 and was from Talladega, Ala. Male students were called cadets and participated in military training in addition to their studies. They were required to wear gray military uniforms.
