Gordon, first alto saxophone; St. Julian "Specke" Dash, second tenor saxophone; Newman "Doodle Boy" Terrell, baritone saxophone; and Bob Shoecraft, 3rd alto saxophone. Rhythm: James Swyne, bass; Winston Jones, guitar; James Whitfield, piano; Leon Abrahams, drums. According to another note, "The suits are our blue uniform suits." The Collegians performed from the 1930s through the 1950s. Erskine Hawkins and several members of his orchestra were members prior to forming their own ensemble. |
