Brass: Chappell, first trumpet (first name torn off); Clarence Edmondson, second trumpet; Bradley Moore, third trumpet; Waddey L. Williams, first trombone; Theodore Greene, second trombone; and Alfonso Cameron, third trombone. Reeds: Amos F. Gordon, first alto saxophone; St. Julian "Specke" Dash, second tenor saxophone; Newman "Doodle Boy" Terrell, baritone saxophone; and Bob Shoecraft, 3rd alto saxophone. Rhythm: James Swyne, bass; Winston Jones, guitar; James Whitfield, piano; Leon Abrahams, drums. According to another note, "The suits are our blue uniform suits." The Collegians performed from the 1930s through the 1950s. Erskine Hawkins and several members of his orchestra were members prior to forming their own ensemble.
