Peggy Lowe at the Madison County courthouse in Huntsville, Alabama, during the preliminary hearing for her capital murder trial.
Lowe was charged with conspiring to kill her brother-in-law, Jack Wilson, who was beaten to death at his home in Huntsville on May 22, 1992. Though Lowe was eventually acquitted, her twin sister, Betty Wilson, was convicted of capital murder for hiring a hit man to kill her husband.
