Mr. Norton, an orderly sergeant, hastily writes his wife, Hattie, as his regiment has been called to leave Decatur, Alabama, with three days of rations. He thinks that they will take the rail to Huntsville. He is unsure of the finale destination point and will write her as soon as they get there....
