Vulcan, The Iron Man, weighing 60 tons, is the largest cast-iron statue in the world, and, with the exception of the Statue of Liberty, the highest statue in America. It was made to represent Birmingham at the St. Louis exposition in 1904, and was recently moved to its present location.
