Description
Summary:The back of the postcard reads: "Aerial View of Howard College, Birmingham, Ala. One of the state's oldest institutions, founded January 3, 1842, Howard College has been located the last fifty-seven years in Birmingham. This air view shows the college city of white nestled at the foot of the hills among the green foliage, with Berry Field where the Bulldogs romp in the background, and Main Hall, fifty-seven years old, at the top center, flanked by the gymnasium, boys dormitory, science hall, library, Sororities lodges and other recitation halls. It is under the jurisdiction of the Alabama Baptist State Convention and numbers among its graduates some of the foremost citizens of the state and country."
