description While at Howard College, a group of students carried out "Operation D". Sponsored by the Sophomore Class, the students marched the Bulldog approximately 10 miles from the old East Lake Campus to the new Lakeshore Drive campus. From the 1958 Entre Nous: "Operation D...as in Dog was the climax of a crosstown procession, on foot, and the answer to a secret that kept Howardites guessing for many days. Paul Barefield was chief planner and executor of the highly successful spirit builder."
