Summary:Jimmy Clark was a worker at the Segrest Gin Company of Dothan. Martha E. Carlile (neé Wright), was born in Ashford, Houston County, Alabama, in 1926, a twin and the youngest of seven children of John and Susie Wright. She worked as an accountant beginning in 1945, and in the late 1950s purchased the Segrest Cotton Gin of Dothan, Alabama, and the Malvern Cotton Gin of Malvern, Alabama, with partner Charles Adams. She sold both companies ca. 1969, joined her husband as an agent and broker in Carlile Realty in 1972, and retired in the early 1980s. She married James Earl Carlile in 1947 and has three daughters. Carlile contributed this image to the Wiregrass Archives for its NEH-funded Wiregrass Common Heritage Project in 2016.
