Steamboats,
The John Quill, a sternwheel riverboat, was built in 1907 at Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was 168 feet in length, 35 feet in breadth, with a crew of 25. Here she is carrying one of Mobile's most prolific exports -- cotton.
