Twin Beech AME Zion Church, Fairhope, Alabama
Organized in 1867 to serve the newly-freed African Americans living around Battles Wharf, this church gets its name from the road near which it sits -- Twin Beech Road. This photo shows the structure years after this cinder block design, created in 1925, replaced the original frame structure.
