Summary:The Meaher Building on the northeast corner of St. Joseph and St. Michael streets, ca. 1925. On the bottom floor was Morrison's Cafeteria, which had moved from the German Relief Hall. The upper floors of the building housed the CPA firm of Prichard and Richard, several law offices, and the Permanent Waving Shoppe of Karl Fredrick, who offered flappers the latest in hair styles. To the north of the building was the White Way Barber Shop. The Meaher Building underwent extensive renovations in the 1960s, at which time it was occupied by the First Federal Savings and Loan Association.
