Summary: | William H. Holcome was a former sheriff of Mobile County and served in the Alabama House of Representatives. In 1923 federal agents arrested Holcombe and others, charging them with the illegal distribution of alcohol. After some manuevering, a jury later convicted Holcombe and he received a two-year sentence, which was subsequently overturned.
