Distinguished by 24 massive columns, encircling the building, his residence became a famous meeting place for prominent citizens, who loved to race their horses on the excellent track maintained by James Jackson. Among the noted visitors were Andrew Jackson, James Madison, and James Coffee., Anderson News Company, Florence, Ala., Genuine Curteich-Chicago "C. T. Art-Colortone" Post Card (Reg. U. S.
