It crosses the mouth of five rivers, emptying into Mobile Bay and is one of the longest bridges of its kind in the world. It is an important link in the Old Spanish Trail connecting Mobile, Alabama, with Pensacola, Florida. The center span of this bridge is one block long and lifts vertically, 135 feet above the water allowing passage of the largest steamships.' , 'Made in the U.S.A. By E. C.
