Drivers for Tro-Fe Dairy in Gadsden, Ala. Tro-Fe Dairy (named for a combination of the two founders names) was founded in 1932 by Vernon J. Troutman and Fred Feger. It was first located on Henry and 7th Streets with 3 employees, one wholesale truck and two retail trucks delivering on three routes. In 1936, Tro-Fe Daury moved to Walnut Street with 150 customers. By 1957, the business had 60 routes, 1,200 wholesale and retail accounts, 75 trucks and 123 employees. |
