"Burrell Downs Deshler in Thriller"
This is an article about the Burrell-Slater/ Deshler High School basketball game in 1968. This was the first time an all-black team played a previously all-white team in the Shoals area, and 2,500 fans watched as Burrell defeated Deshler, 92-90.
