Photograph of mother with daughter in front of the Neal Rowell Plantation near Smithsonia
This photograph was taken in 1958 in front of the Neal Rowell plantation, and shows Barbara Crenshaw's sister with her mother Laney Williams. They lived in the servants' quarters behind the brick house; as Barbara recalls, they got water from a cistern on the property.
