description This is an entry from Lauderdale County Circuit Court Minute Docket G, 1870-1875, p. 702, in which Simon Jackson and Edward Coffee were arraigned in Circuit Court for the murder of Coleman Williams. Both men plead "not guilty" and were bound over for trial on "Wednesday of the second week of this term of this court." A Wednesday, March 17, 1875 *Florence Gazette* report of the trial and conviction of Simon Jackson for the murder of Coleman Williams which notes that apparently the charges were dropped with regard to Edward Coffee.
