Summary: | This is a newspaper article about a fire that damaged a house owned by Bessie Foster. Florence historian Lee Freeman notes: "Two fires are reported, both ruled as "incendiary" by Florence Fire Chief Donald White. In one of the fires on South Seminary Street, a house owned by Bessie Foster and rented by Minnie Ray, was damaged by fire. Firemen found the can used to douse the front porch with gasoline, which caused about $25 in damage. Both fires were to be thoroughly investigated but I don't know whether the arsonists were caught or not." |
