Portrait of Major John Pelham in Military Uniform, circa 1861-1863
Photo circa 1861-1863 (subject's years of service). A young man known as "The Gallant Pelham" is dressed in a military uniform. He was an officer in the Confederate Army from his 1861 West Point graduation until his 1863 death during the Battle of Kelly's Ford.
