Alleghany (Iron Queen) Hotel was first operated as a hotel and later rented as a dormitory or boarding house to the State Normal School, shown right. In the early 1900s the name of the building changed to Hotel Pelman. In 1917 it was destroyed by a fire. (circa 1901) |
