Melinda White was a student at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University). In 1960-1961 she was chosen as 1960 Miss Homecoming. She was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol and a top five finalist and candidate for Miss Mimosa. (circa 1960)
