| Summary: | Men's dormitory Patterson Hall at Jacksonville State College (now Jacksonville State University) was named for the late Albert Patterson, attorney-general nominee killed by an assassin's bullet in Phenix City, Alabama. A dedication was held on the front steps of Patterson Hall after its completion. Shown in attendance are Dr. Houston Cole (College President), Governor John Patterson (son of Albert Patterson), Mrs. Patterson (wife of Albert Patterson), an unidentified female, Martha Bellenger Cole (wife of Houston Cole), LaFayette Patterson (brother of Albert Patterson), and Colonel Harry M.
