All the men hold a type of ax handle except Guy W. Key, left center with left hand on hip, who holds a noose. The group of men hanged William Greenleaf in effigy during the meeting. Identified men present, in no order, were Columbus McColloum, Jack Harris, Guy "Boss" Hammett, Wence Snider, Roy Watts, Mr. Hudgens, Viles Davis, Joe Marin, John Medley, Matthew Turner, Luke Key, Eli Huidgens, Ardell White, Kermit Evans, Milas Davis, Bill Murray, John Garmon, Wilton Bedwell, Earl Hendrix, Forney Davis, Early Poole, Doug Smith, Buster Webb, Dewey Garmon, I.G. Morgan, Sam Patterson, Carl Ford, Bryce Harris, O.R. Deason, J.P. McCurry, George Robinson, Jr., J.D.
