The seal of Jacksonville State Teachers College, adopted in the 1930s
The seal of Jacksonville State Teacher's College was adopted in the 1930s. Grace Stevenson McAbee painted the original at the request of President Daugette. The words are Latin for "I have erected a monument more lasting than bronze." (circa 1930)
