The hotel was rented as a dormitory for the first boarding students at the State Normal School. In the early 1900s the name of the building changed to Hotel Pelman. The campus was moved from downtown to another part of the city around 1912, and the hotel was no longer used as a dormitory. In 1917 the hotel was destroyed by a fire. (circa 1900) |
