Summary:The State Normal School farm was donated by Fannie Atkins, in memory of her husband David, to the school circa 1917. Atkins hoped to help young men receive an education. Male students could stay at the farmhouse for free, but farm work was available only to a limited number of students. Four additional buildings were on the property. The State Normal School agriculture teacher managed the farm three days a week. (circa 1913)
