National social sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, began on the campus of Jacksonville State University in 1967-1968. Alpha Xi Delta was organized by 29 co-eds on campus. Dean Theron Montgomery stands behind the podium speaking to the group of students and faculty in attendance at an Alpha Xi Delta dine-in.
