V-mail sent to Mrs. Wilford Lynn from Wilford Lynn, dated July 22, 1944. Message reads: My Dearest, I know you must be worried because you haven’t heard from me yet. I have received all your mail honey except for a few letters between June 20th and July 1st. I hope to be able to do some explaining in a couple of weeks. Honey about you making the trip back home I don’t mind but I don’t think you should come back. If you wish to continue [with] your work then I wouldn’t go home. You aren’t able to stand that much traveling and it costs too much too. I would rather you would go home and rest a little. I want to come to Sheffield on my leave anyhow. Send me the stub from your train ticket and I’ll try to get the money back on it. I love you Dearest and long [??] so much to see you. Love Forever, “Lynn”. The names "Mildred Lynn" and "Elizabeth Lynn" are written on the back of this v-mail. |
