| Summary: | Photo taken around 1960 of Whitehead Elementary School Teacherage located in the Whitehead Community between Elgin Crossroads and Rogersville, Alabama. The school was located near the intersection of county roads 51 and 76. R.L. McKee and his wife, Alice, and T.B. Haraway and his wife, Annie, deeded the land to the Lauderdale County Board of Education on 5 September 1924. The physical description of the land is the northeast corner of SE 1/4 of SW 1/4, Section 12, Township 2, Range 8 West.
