Lakeview, where Mrs. Hawes was found
Black and white photograph of the lake at Lakeview Park. In 1888 this was the place where the bodies of Richard Hawes' wife and one of his daughters were discovered. He was found guilty of murdering them and another daughter whose body he had dumped in the lake at East Lake.
