Box 6 Folder 17: "Moving along to folder 17, this is a series, a list of people who are going to receive fruit baskets and that’s pretty funny. I guess these are some clients that the Johnston family wanted to make sure received goodies and they’re signed by Maurice Walden, he’s the sales manager at the time. This is the early ‘70s. It’s also from ZZK and JLD when they were the same company, and they were sent to various ad agencies and people who worked with the station. Some names here appear on this list that I don’t recognize. Martha Nobles from ZZK, Leslie Wasson from ZZK, I don’t know who those people are. But we see also Erin Connolly’s name show up and, of course, she was the wife of Jim Connolly, who was associated with the station way back in the ‘40s. She’s still with the station. And it’s just reaching out to the advertising community, giving them some nice stuff. And that’s it. Ok. You don’t have to really, it’s pretty self evident what this stuff is. It’s just ratings sheets. From the WJLD files" |
