description Box 2 Folder 34: "Various WJLD/WJLN objects from 1952 were donated to WJLD, and then to the BBRM, back in 2015/16 by Candy West, grand daughter of James Connolly, long time manager at WJLD. Here we have letter openers, a WJLD/WJLN rate card, a promotional ticket to the Lyric Theater with WJLD/WJLN on the back, and the effort or experiment to use some of the 1940's WJLD stationary mast head to a new stationary around the same time the station moved to Red Mountain from Bessemer. As well, the program of the Annual Spring Convention of the Alabama Broadcasters Association, being held on March 20-21st, 1952, at the Buena Vista Hotel in Biloxi, MS. (Huh? Why not in Akabama?) At this time, the ABA's HQ was in Clark Hall at the University of Alabama. At their March 20th session, James Connolly from WJLD, Bessemer, moderated the afternoon session on Programminmg and Sales."
