Description
Summary:Box 1 Folder 54: "And we are on box number 1 this is folder number 54, which are pictures of the studio and transmitter, we think this is the studio, of WJLD/WJLN where the tower is which (the tower) still exists on Red Mountain. Not sure if this is the studio or if its only the transmitter site. It might be the studio for WJLN but the transmitter site for WJLD and WJLN 1949. The station is still in the studios on Bessemer Super Highway at this time, until 1952 when it does move to Red Mountain. Photo was taken May 12, 1949 both of the tower and of the studio building. And these are again pictures taken from the library archives which were gotten from the tax assessor’s office and transferred to the library archives."
