Description
Summary:Box 1 Folder 29: "Ok this is box 1 folder 29 from 1946. A picture given to us by one of the family members of the Sterling Jubilee Singers, which we approximate to be that old. They were an old group in this town. Their dress-wear certainly leads us to believe that it could have been that old. The first bass and chaplain was Roy Gaston and we don’t know if he was related al all to A.G. Gaston but there is certainly a likelihood. The famous Sterling Jubilee singers of Birmingham, it’s a color picture. We don’t know if it was just colorized; it might have been colorized. We received it we believe from a member of the family of one of these performers, and I do not remember who."
