The painting shows the temple with a doorway topped by a lintel. There are two statues on either side of the doorway and four flagpoles with flags, one on each side of each statue. There are men, women, and a child on the paths in front of the temple. The temple is surrounded by palm trees with sand dunes in the background and a river, grass, shrubs, and a pier in the foreground. A floor plan and a a cross-section side view showing the interior columns are sketched in the sky above the temple. The painting is set in framing art containing a close-up of one of the statues, two of the columns, and a falcon. There are two labels in the lower right corner that read: "School of Architecture Architectural Renderings, RG 457, Original number 87" and "87." In the lower left corner there is an artist's information line which reads: "Arch 375, Nov. 21, 1938, Major II." The painting is in fair condition with a large portion of the right edge missing and is encapsulated.
