There is a fountain in front of the building and there are people on the building steps and grounds. The rest of the painting shows the floor plan with its rooms, walls, corridors, doorways, columns, steps decorative floor coverings, auditorium, rotunda, and foyers surrounded by landscaping. In the lower right corner, there is an artist's information block which reads: "Grady L. Hicks, An art gallery, ..., Ala. Poly. Inst., Auburn, ALA." Above the information block, there is an inscription which reads "First Medal ..., " and an Alabama Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture stamp. The painting is in poor condition with large vertical tears and minor edge wear and is encapsulated.
